Postdoc Position Available

Postdoctoral Research Associate,
X-ray Phase Contrast Microscopy,

in residence at Argonne National Laboratory

We have an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to develop phase contrast methods to incorporate specimen ultrastructure and mass measurements along with x-ray nanoprobe measurements of trace element concentration in biological and environmental science systems.  The position is for one year, renewable for a second year contingent on continued funding of a new, two-year proposal and performance of the candidate.  The candidate should have a PhD in Physics or a related field, and have experience in Fourier optics and computer programming.  The candidate will be based at the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Laboratory near Chicago, and will work with Dr. Stefan Vogt at Argonne as well as the x-ray optics group at Stony Brook.
